Payment and Refund Policy

Payment and Refund Policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

Scope of the Policy and the Services It Covers

This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all services offered by stagecruxly through our website. These services include professional training courses focused on media feeds, such as video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of high-quality feeds for news programmes and television broadcasting. The policy governs payments, cancellations, and refunds for both one-time course purchases and subscription-based access to training materials. It covers all customers located in the United Kingdom and applies to contracts formed at a distance via our website.

Prices, Currencies, Taxes, and Additional Charges

All prices displayed on our website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate where applicable. Course fees are clearly stated at the point of purchase. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as printed materials or extended access periods, and these will be itemised before payment is taken. We reserve the right to adjust prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.

Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation, and Security

We accept payment by major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and other secure online payment gateways. Payment is authorised at the time of order placement. All transactions are processed through PCI DSS compliant providers to ensure security. Your card details are never stored on our systems. Authorisation confirms that funds are available, but actual collection occurs upon successful order confirmation.

Order Confirmation and Contract Formation

Once you submit an order and payment is authorised, you will receive an email confirmation containing order details. A binding contract is formed when we send this confirmation email. Until that point, no contract exists and we may decline an order for any reason. Digital access credentials are provided immediately upon confirmation for instant-access courses.

Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which you may cancel without giving a reason. For services that have begun with your consent before the end of this period, you must pay for the services provided up to the cancellation date. Digital content that has been downloaded or accessed is generally non-cancellable once delivery has started.

Refund Eligibility, Exclusions, and Non-Refundable Items

Refunds are available for cancellations within the 14-day period where no substantial content has been accessed. Full refunds are not available for courses that have been substantially completed, for customised training packages, or for promotional offers where the discount was conditional on non-refundable terms. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time but refunds are prorated only for unused full months after the cooling-off period.

Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us via the form on our Contacts page or by emailing [email protected]. Provide your order number, full name, contact details, and a clear statement of the reason for the request. Include any supporting information such as confirmation of non-access to digital materials. Requests must be submitted within the relevant time limits.

Inspection, Approval, Rejection, and Notification

Upon receipt of your request, we will inspect the account activity to verify eligibility. We aim to respond within 14 days. If approved, you will receive written confirmation. If rejected, we will explain the reasons and outline any alternative options. You may appeal a decision by providing additional evidence within seven days.

Refund Method, Processing Time, and Receipt of Funds

Approved refunds are issued using the original payment method. Processing typically takes up to 10 working days, after which funds should appear in your account within a further 3-5 working days depending on your bank. For bank transfers, refunds are returned to the originating account details supplied.

Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, and Promotional Offers

Digital course materials are considered delivered once access credentials are issued. Refunds are unavailable after download or streaming begins. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional pricing is non-refundable once the promotional period has started, and any remaining balance is forfeited upon cancellation.

Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks, and Suspected Fraud

In the event of a failed payment, we will notify you and allow 48 hours to retry. Duplicate charges will be refunded automatically upon detection. Chargebacks are investigated thoroughly; repeated or unjustified chargebacks may result in account suspension. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate order hold and referral to relevant authorities.

Mandatory Consumer Rights in the United Kingdom

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR. You retain the right to remedies for faulty services, including repair, replacement, or refund where services do not conform to the contract. Nothing in this policy excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
